Hoda
Badran (Egypt)
Hoda Badran is the Chairperson of both the Alliance for Arab Women and the Committee on the Child of the Egyptian Higher Council for Culture. The first president of the Committee on the Rights of the Child at the United Nations’ Center for Human Rights, she has also been a special representative of the Egyptian president to the Preparatory Committee of the For Children Summit in New York, as well as UNICEF Resident Representative for Sri Lanka and the Maldives. A professor emeritus at Halwan University in Cairo, she has published award-winning work in the field of social welfare.
